Easy step-by-step tutorial (with photos) for how to paint your vinyl floors using standard porch & floor paint!
Using a deglossing product removes the vinyl floor's gloss, which allows the paint to more readily adhere to the surface.. Instead, use a porch and floor paint that's made to hold up to foot traffic. Applying two coats of paint over two coats of primer will help make the finish more impervious.
If you're not painting the trim of the room, line the walls with painter's tape. First, prime the floor with one layer of primer. Use the extended roller brush that you used to apply the deglosser, as well as the same technique. Once the primer is dry, brush on one or two coats of your paint.
